Virtual Reality Rehabilitation for Cognitive, Emotional, and Motor Recovery in Neurological Disorders
About this trial
This trial is enrolling 328 participants with neurological disorders, including spinal cord injury, to test the effect of virtual reality (VR)-based rehabilitation on movement control and mental performance. VR is a computer-generated experience of visual displays similar to the real world, delivered through head-mounted displays such as smart-glasses. If included, participants will be randomly assigned to either a VR training program or a traditional rehabilitation program, each consisting of 20 sessions over 8 weeks. Final testing of movement control and mental performance will be performed after 3 months.
