Evaluation of a Home-based AOMI Intervention on Cognitive Function and Depression Among Adults with SCI
About this trial
This pilot trial is enrolling 46 individuals with spinal cord injury to test the effect of a home-based training intervention on cognitive function and depression. If included, participants will either perform Action Observation and Motor Imagery (AOMI) training combined with basic wheelchair exercises, or basic wheelchair exercises alone, three times a week for 8 weeks. Final testing will be performed after 3 months.

- Participants will conduct ten minutes of basic wheelchair exercises and either twenty minutes of Action Observation and Motor Imagery (AOMI) training (intervention group) or no AOMI training (control group), three times a week for 8 weeks. Sessions will be done in participants' homes. - AOMI training will follow a structured protocol using exercise videos and guided motor imagery. - No AOMI training will consist of twenty minutes of watching landscape videos - Final testing will be performed after 1 month post-intervention.
