Avation Electric Stimulation System for Spinal Cord Injury Neurogenic Bladder
About this trial
This trial is enrolling 20 participants with chronic spinal cord injury to test the effect of tibial nerve stimulation (TNS) on bladder function. TNS is a technique for stimulating the tibial nerve via surface stimulation to modify spinal cord function. If included, participants will undergo stimulation with the Vivally system (a wearable, non-invasive neuromodulation device worn on the ankle) at 4 daily time points in the first month. They will then use the system for an additional 2 months with optimized stimulation parameters. Final testing of feasibility and bladder function will be performed after 12 weeks.
