About this trial

This trial is enrolling individuals with spinal cord injuries to test the effect of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) on neuropathic pain. rTMS is FDA approved to treat major depressive disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and migraine but its effect on neuropathic pain is variable so far. This trial of rTMS scalp surface stimulation targeting specific areas of the brain associated with pain processing is using different amounts of stimulation to understand the effect on neuropathic pain. If included, participants will undergo either: 10 sessions of high frequency rTMS (3000 pulses per session); or 10 sessions of low frequency rTMS (300 pulses per session). Final testing will be performed after 6 months.
