About this trial

This trial is recruiting individuals with new spinal cord injuries to determine if they have better recovery if their blood pressure (BP) is managed in the emergency room. Participants will be randomly assigned to either have medical management of BP to maintain it within a target range, or will not have medical management of BP, allowing it to fluctuate naturally. The main goals are to assess whether BP management affects sensation, strength, pain, and participation in activities of daily living (feeding, bathing, grooming, walking, etc.).
